Not only should we make time to think but also about how we think. Life is a precious journey and we should not be mere passengers.
I’ve been so busy lately. I haven’t had time to think. Work, work and more work. It’s easy to lose grip of oneself and get vacuumed up by work. We can all end up chasing ourselves and becoming more irritable – less compassionate towards ourselves and to others. So many people have told me that they have no time to think. I think that is a bad sign. Not only should we make time to think but also about how we think. Life is a precious journey and we should not be mere passengers. Often it is vital that we come off the treadmill of being endlessly busy and step outside the circle and have a good look at ourselves. Often the way we make sense of ourselves is at the heart of our unhappiness and unfulfilled potential. It’s very easy to convince ourselves that we have not time to think especially when we need to face honest questions about ourselves, others and the world around us.
