I have organised a special webinar which will explore the powerful psychological benefits of becoming more grounded through a deeper connection with nature. It will take place on Tuesday, 5th May at 7.30 pm via Zoom. Drawing on research from the field of ecopsychology, the webinar will demonstrate how time spent in natural environments can foster resilience, reduce stress, and dramatically enhance overall well-being. We will reflect on cultural shifts that have distanced us from nature—particularly during adolescence and with the rise of modern technology—while pointing to practical ways of restoring this lost bond. Importantly, I will share from personal experience how moving to my new home in Sligo, with its rich natural surroundings, has allowed me to reconnect more fully with the natural world, and how this reconnection has been an immensely positive and restorative experience in my own life. Backed by compelling studies, this webinar will highlight the profound physiological and emotional benefits of restoring our bond with the earth.

Inspiring, practical and deeply calming, nature connectedness offers pathways for anyone seeking greater balance, clarity and groundedness in a fast-paced, technology-saturated world.

This webinar is aimed at everyone who has an open mind and is keen to enhance the quality of their lives. It is also particularly relevant to teachers, youth leaders, and anyone who works with young people. It is also relevant to HR managers – as it outlines ways for enhancing nature-connectedness within workplaces.
