I almost forgot to invite you………….

I almost forgot to invite you to my poetry reading. It’s taking place tomorrow (8th May) at 8 p.m. via the video-conferencing software Zoom. I am really looking forward to it and hope that you can come along. I am expecting a large crowd of nearly 100 people! My book ‘Thin Lines’ was published by Orpen Press a few months ago. I was planning a tour of libraries and theatres nationwide but all plans came to a halt with Covid-19. I never got to share them properly with anyone. Many people know me as a psychologist but poetry goes much deeper than psychology. I had two other books of poems published a long time ago -The Dark Room and Stilling the Dance of Time. This new book has been a long time coming. The reading will last for about an hour. Sit down and relax. Make a cup of tea. Pour a glass of wine. Grab a can from the fridge. I will bring you on a tour of my Carrickmacross childhood, my boarding school days, memories of my parents, my love affair with Sligo and also open a window into life experiences which I am sure will resonate with you – we all have to cross thin lines on this journey. See you at 8 p.m. on the 8th!
By the way sometimes my wifi connection dies and I may disappear. Don’t panic. I will return when my internet connection re-establishes itself. You will all be on ‘mute’ so no one will hear you until I unmute you at the end. I will hang on afterwards for a chat if anyone else wants to!
Please click on the Eventbrite link below to register. Then I will forward you a Zoom link.
All the best
