Underestimating the simple things

Sometimes we really underestimate something as simple as that – saying how you feel and opening your heart to others.

I haven’t been writing in this blog for months. I got out of the habit. It’s funny but I thought that it was pointless because I was not sure if anyone was reading what I was writing. Yesterday, someone approached me after a presentation that I gave in Rush, Co. Dublin. She told me that she read a piece I wrote around the time my mother died and that she found it helpful. Indeed, a few months ago someone else said something similar to me!! I wrote from my heart. I said how I felt. I tried to make the best sense of where I found myself at that time. And crucially my words reached other people. Sometimes we really underestimate something as simple as that – saying how you feel and opening your heart to others. I must starting writing  again and we should always express our feelings. It’s good for us!
