I’m inviting you to a very special morning seminar with me on Saturday 25th March in the Sligo Park Hotel from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. It’s the first in-person seminar that I have organised since the pandemic descending upon us.
You will have an opportunity to get away from the daily stresses and strains of life. You will learn what science has uncovered about becoming healthier, happier and more resilient. The focus will be on simple yet powerful practices that are proven to make a difference.
This is not just an opportunity to learn how to enhance the quality of your life but also to discover some of the beauty spots around scenic Sligo. I will be recommending some of my favourite walks and locations within a couple of miles of the venue. I’ll also recommend some of my favourite haunts for food, drinks and entertainment- all tried and tested (regularly!) by me. Why not make a weekend out of it? You might need a break more than you really know!
The total cost for the seminar is €75 (Limited 15% Early Bird Discount available if you hurry)
You’ll get a Welcome to Sligo pack, my slides, a certificate of attendance and a map of the recommended walks that you can choose from. The fee also includes tea/coffee, scones and biscuits!
The seminar will not intrude on anyone’s privacy. There will be some discussion but no one will feel pressured to talk. It is important to know that the seminar is for the general public and why people attend remains their own business. Often people working within the health or education professions attend for professional reasons. Sometimes an interest in psychology draws people to these events. However, most people attend because they want to take time out from a busy life schedule to learn simple evidence-based strategies linked to a better quality of life. In this instance, you may attend simply because you need a day away in Sligo!
The timetable for the day is as follows:
09.00 a.m. Registration
09.30-11.00 a.m. LIVING LIFE WELL:The Psychology of Health & Happiness
11.00 -11.15 Tea & Coffee break with homemade scones and cookies
11.15-13.00 BUILDING RESILIENCE: Strategies for Coping with the Inevitable Challenges of Life
13.00 -13.30 An outline of some of the best walks (all easy and on the flat). The hope is that you will do as many of these walks as you can before you head home! I will also recommend some of the hostelry hotspots for food and drink. A custom map will be provided
