When you pass your driving test, succeed in cooking a complex recipe, win a prize, are called for an interview, or lose weight – celebrate these moments in a very deliberate way. No matter how insignificant you feel these events are, make the most of the positive moments.
See them as opportunities to rejoice in life, no matter how small they seem. Make them big in your own eyes. People who express their emotions at these times enjoy them so much more. They are also spiritually more connected to their lives. Merely passing an exam in a very difficult subject or not coming last in the competition- rejoice and be glad!
Life will always pose challenges, and these will sap our energy. We seem to find it easier to concentrate on the negative events, but we should form a habit of savouring our successes too. Let’s celebrate more! And congratulate others on their successes too! We can spread a little happiness more easily than we think.
