It’s never too late to be happier and healthier!

It doesn’t matter how much I say it. It doesn’t matter whom I am saying it to. I believe that many people in our communities become unwell unnecessarily. I believe that many people stay unwell too long. All the emphasis has been on helping people who fall down rather than helping prevent the ‘fall’ occurring in the first place. Today I visited a school in Co. Kildare. I addressed the staff for the day. It was a inservice-day dedicated to health and well being. All I was doing was highlighting our vulnerability to unhealthy stress and how our thinking mechanisms (acquired from belief systems influence our feelings and behaviour. I reminded the audience that we have to invest in wellness and that thousands of people take their health for granted. Our mental health is like and fragile bowl. It can shatter so easily. We need to mind ourselves. Crisis is inevitable and we need to mind ourselves through he inevitable crises that unfold.
