Maybe it’s time for you to invest in your health and happiness?

As a psychologist I am passionate about the need to empower people towards greater health, happiness and resilience. Over many decades science has made a wonderful contribution in helping us understand negative emotion. The emphasis on deficits, disorders and disease has allowed for effective interventions to be developed in order to help and support people who are unwell or unhappy.

But why wait until we are unwell to learn about becoming healthier? Why wait until we are unhappy to explore happiness? If challenge and crisis are inevitable, should we not learn to become more resilient in advance of them? Psychology can teach us how to stay strong as well as understanding how we become weak? We can all benefit from applying strategies that scientific studies indicate would enhance the quality of our lives, give us greater health outcomes and help us live more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

In recent decades research teams have started to examine positive emotion. This research has focused on what makes people happier, what gives them more meaning and purpose in life and what keeps them mentally strong. The Moodwatchers course brings this empowering information to more and more people. Maybe you  would like to come along on the open night or know someone who may benefit from the course.
